The objective of the module
The purpose of the module is to help managers understand the behavior of people in the organization better, and at the same time, to understand the organization itself. Classical and modern psychological theories that explain human behavior in the organization help to achieve this.

The module is intended for managers who, while working with people, seek to develop their own and their environment's leadership skills.

About module

In the module, the problem is analyzed at three levels - individuals’, teams’ and organizations’. Here, a broad understanding of the human potential of the organization and the conditions for its development are developed.

 

Through the module, one gets to know the structure of the personality, the dynamics of the acquired characteristics, it is revealed how the choices of the personality are affected by teams and groups, what is the role of the psychological safety of the personality and the group; the relationship between personality and organization as complex systems is discussed, a bridge is built between management skills and leadership. Knowledge of psychology is complemented by basic knowledge of human resource management. The spring semester offers a renewed module: a special emphasis in these studies is given to the analysis of group and team dynamics, as well as discussions of films related to the topic under consideration. In the Teamwork and Leadership: Applied Organizational Psychology module, analysis of business situations is also carried out. It explores fundamental issues of leadership excellence, best practices and theories. Additional value of the module is educational leadership (coaching) and team management in search of a certain business solution.
